The Leesville Police Department will be participating in the National Association of Town Watch's 30th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, October 1, 2012. The National Association of Town Watch is a nonprofit, crime prevention organization that works in cooperation with thousands of crime watch groups and law enforcement agencies throughout the country.
National Night Out is designed to:
(1) Heighten crime prevention awareness
(2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs
(3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
(4) Send a message to criminal letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
This event will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Dogwood Park. Dogwood Park is located on Belview Road in Leesville, behind the Leesville High School.
