K-9 Handlers are Police Officers who work with dogs instead of human partners. They patrol the streets, apprehend criminals, and handle their dogs as the specially trained K-9's perform tasks that humans cannot. These tasks include but are not limited to detecting drugs and other illegal substances. K-9 Handlers work closely with their dogs and with relatively few positions available in the field, an assignment to the K-9 Unit is a highly coveted position among Law Enforcement professionals.
